The Association is open to new members. Any legal entity which acknowledges the Association’s Charter, pays the admission fee and is capable of contributing to the implementation of its objectives and tasks and meets one of the following criteria may become its member:
- membership is open only for commercial enterprises;
- the legal entity has an intention to establish or register a commercial company or a representation office in the Russian Federation with the business address in Murmansk or the Murmansk region;
- at least 25% of the equity capital or of the contribution in the partnership is owned by foreign (non-Russian) natural person(-s) or legal entity(-ies).
Countries, nationalities and industries (sectors) represented in the membership totality shall enjoy equal rights as determined by the Executive Board.
A member of the FIBA may be a legal entity that meets all of the following criteria:
- is a foreign chamber of commerce in Murmansk Region, a foreign business association (Norwegian Business Association) or an equivalent organization;
- is registered or has an intention to be registered in the Murmansk region of the Russian Federation or in the country, which economic interests it represents, according to the respective country’s law;
- represents a considerable group of foreign investors from the respective country in the Murmansk region of the Russian Federation, and does not compete in this representation with other similar organizations;
- performs regular and active work in the Murmansk region of the Russian Federation.
The FIBA members shall have the right to nominate their representatives to the FIBA management and to request the Executive Board and other FIBA officers to report on their activities.
